Hello all,
Like the title says, I'm putting a couple of my nicer rides up for sale.
Below are the Craigslist links. Also have them posted over at geometroforum.com where I am very active.

First up is my 95 Civic VX, in great shape. Bone stock, not riced out.

HONDA CIVIC VX 1995 Senior Citizen Owned

Second is my 91 Geo Metro XFI, with 33,000 original miles, and purchased from the first owner.

1991 GEO METRO XFI HATCHBACK 33K MILES !!!

Those are two prime examples of the breed.

Don't want to hang onto them until the next time gas hits $4 in the US?

PS: Hope you don't mind that I added 2 of your pics for posterity.

Nice looking machines!

Don't mind a bit. Thanks for doing it. I thought about it, but I currently have 1 other VX in similar condition, 5 Metros, 2 VW bugs, plus a few others. My red, 99 Metro hatch, daily driver, is hiding behind the pic of the XFI. I want to cut loose a few of these, and maybe snag a Mirage, or something. Plus the "woman who must get obeyed" has requested/suggested moving some inventory. :p Thought I had an 06 Civic Hybrid with 125,000 miles, needing the drive battery pack. It was on Craigslist yesterday for $1000.00 us. I was ready to jump on it, then figured out it was a scam.

Those are gorgeous.

MetroMPG 10-01-2016 06:36 PM

Any bites?

Probably the same one I saw on CL in MN.

One offer of $3,000 on the XFI, same for the VX.
Told them both thanks, but no thanks, and that I'd like to run the ad a while longer.
Gas is too cheap, right now, I guess.

Small world... I just noticed where you live. I lived there 2004-2006 on Hanover Street by the battlefield park. Nice little town. Great region.

That's because I didn't post one... I've got a 2007 Chevy Malibu, but it's not worth much, with it being a GM product, it never held any value...

Not a little town anymore. I tend to call it "Little Fairfax". Tons of people, traffic, yada, yada. It's now a bedroom community for those that crazily want to commute to northern VA, and DC every day. I also thought it had a village, or small town flair, when we moved here in 98.
I live directly behind the Chancellorsville Battlefield, off Rt 3. There are neighborhoods around here that still have evidence of civil war trenches in people's yards. They have just started building a huge neighborhood right on top of where the Chancellorsville battle was. It was all farm land, but not for long. Real shame it couldn't have been preserved. A small portion has been set aside for preservation, and historical purposes.

My bad, I thought the "link" posted below your comment, might have been for your car. I see now it's your fuel mileage link in your sig. Newb mistake.:)

Sold my Civic VX today. Fellow came down from PA to get it. I was very happy that he wants to keep it original, instead of strip it all down and rice it out, like a lot of others guys who contacted me, wanted to do. $3300 made him a proud owner. A couple more sales, and I can pay cash for a new Mitsubishi Mirage. LOL

California98Civic 10-15-2016 05:32 PM

Congrats on the sale. Nice price you got too. Good deal for both of you I suspect.

Car Nut 10-15-2016 10:21 PM

Thanks. Yep, when we parted ways, we were both very happy. I had several people tell me I'd never get that much for it. They thought I was crazy. The guy told me, it was exactly what he had been looking for, for a good while.

Car Nut 11-20-2016 06:46 AM

Well they're both gone now. Had a guy fly down from Michigan to BWI airport in Baltimore MD, and took the train from there down to here. (Fredericksburg VA) Made him a proud owner of the XFI @ $3,000. Was hoping to get more, but what the heck. He said that he had another one just like it years ago, and he put 800,000 miles on it. Yep, you read that right, 800,000! Anyways, i'm down to 4 Metros, I Civic VX, and 2 old school VW bugs. (68 & 69) Wife is happy (er), I'm already in withdrawal. Lol

Magician 12-15-2016 08:52 PM

yep... I'd like to have another vx, but 3k is quite a bit with gas so cheap as you said. Plus way too far to go get it. It looks pretty nice... same color as mine.
