Time to get new tire. Need info about LRR tires.
I live in Utah, and winter will be here soon enough. I am in need of some new tires and want to get some LRR tires but one concern is how well they drive in the snow. Right now my commute is up a 3 lane cannon road. Last winter I had a bit of a hard time getting up in heavy snow slid around quite a bit.
I am looking for a good tire that is rated for year round use. Something that I can use threw the winter. Does anyone have any advice on which LRR tires can do that? |
I'd check tirerack.com. They recently added a filter to their search for LRR tires. They also rate most of their tires.

I am going to get these today : Continental ProContact with EcoPlus Technology http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...opls_ci2_l.jpghttp://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...opls_ci1_l.jpg I don't know if they'd serve your purposes. I've had the following tires for 65K miles in mild LA weather and they have a very similar tread pattern : Continental ContiProContact http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...tact_ci2_l.jpghttp://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...tact_ci1_l.jpg Here are some reviews of my old tire (there are more than this) : Continental ContiProContact Quote:
