Time to get new tire. Need info about LRR tires.
 
I live in Utah, and winter will be here soon enough. I am in need of some new tires and want to get some LRR tires but one concern is how well they drive in the snow. Right now my commute is up a 3 lane cannon road. Last winter I had a bit of a hard time getting up in heavy snow slid around quite a bit.

I am looking for a good tire that is rated for year round use. Something that I can use threw the winter. Does anyone have any advice on which LRR tires can do that?

I'd check tirerack.com. They recently added a filter to their search for LRR tires. They also rate most of their tires.

I did alot or tire size research and these are these best size tire for chevy 2000 malibu 3.1L. 195/65/R15. They are not a good tire if you drive fast and do fast cornering. But basic everyday driving they are great. They also are nice and narrow for snow. Driving in 6 inches of snow is super easy without even a wheel spin. I could probably even plow through 8 inches+ of snow without a issue. Stopping on ice is about the same as a 215/65/R15. So no gains on ice. Fuel mileage is same. Speedometer is same no need to adjust, 60 mph is 60 mph right on the dot. I mounted these 195/65/R15 on the stock malibu steel black rims and they still go over the edge yet. So perfect. Also this size of tire is about $20 cheaper then buying the factory 215/65/R15. I am super happy with these tires and the size I chose and spent days researching tire sizes for a small tire patch area. I plan on getting another set once I wear these babys out passing 4x4's stuck in the snow.
The ones I am getting today also have a few reviews, but they don't mention snow. The tire just hasn't been around enough to have more reviews.
