Tires: Nexan SB 802
 

Haven't posted in a long time, winter sucks when trying for great fuel economy. anyway our weather out here has gotten good enough that I needed to get new summers and take off the old Canadian Tire Brand witner tires I still had on. My average fuel economy thru the winter had been about 6.6L per 100 km, but I would fill by watching the needle and odometer, so about 440 km per tank before I fill it.

well I switched tot he Nexan SB 802's for the Swift cause at Walmart they were 29 dollars a piece! I could not find a cheaper 155/80-13 anywhere. ! large pizza per wheel really lol.

So I get them installed on the winter steelie rims for 10 bucks each and after all fees/taxes/etc.. are done the total cost was 184 dollars. Now they are filled to the car manufactures specs for now which is 30-35 psi. I left them there to get a feel for them as you never know what a cheap tire will feel like stock before you go changing things around. Well on a swift they are great, no issues with the weay the handle in the dry or wet, and we have some pretty good wet out here in Newfoundland.

Last tank same driving, same commute, 6.2 litres per 100km. The tank I filled was at 497km before I needed to refuel, I was surprised a summer wheel vs a winter wheel would have such a bigg difference. Now tht I have a feel for the titres I'll be upping the pressure to 40-50 psi and see where that gets me.

Anyway, if you have a small car and are looking for a decent cheap tire, I find these ones not to bad, and if I get aflat it's almost the same price to replace it then as to get it fixed lol.
