Towing profile
I've been lurking around these forums for a bit
I plan on doing some aero mods to my 2006 colorado crew in the near future ( grille block belly pan gap filler maybe side skirts and aerocap) I do have an enclosed trailer that I have converted to a toy hauler ad plan on giving that the treatment as well getting the bottom closer to the ground and a boat tail or somthing if I can figure it out with the ramp door My question is other than making the trailer as close to the TV as possible which would require re fabricating the tongue how should the aero profile look should I do the trailer and the TV each separately or should it look like one big aero profile? Mabe a regular cap for the bed with somthing added to the back to fill some space between the trailer and truck that won't interfere with the trailer? |
.
You could use a folding boat tail like they use on semi trailers for your toy hauler. Just fold it up and drop the ramp. A truck - trailer gap filler is a little more tricky. There are several threads on this subject. Just use the site's search ecomodder option. At the top of the page. ;) > |
Has anyone tried this before I've researched the heck outta thoes boat tails and trailer aerodynamics in general but only come up with stuff for semi trailers
I'd sure build one but how do you figure the needed angles |
You don't want angles, you want curves. redneck tried to help. What searches have you done in the forum? Here's one search:
trailer boat tail gap - Google Search The canonical thread is: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ta-t-7839.html Let us know what you find out. |
