U.S.Congress fined

Political gridlock in Washington has gotten so bad, that members of both the House and Senate have been docked a day's pay,and sent home for impersonating a mannequin.

I wish all politicians would take the year off. We don't need more laws, we need less. How are mere mortals expected to live within the confines of the law when it can't be understood by experts? Furthermore, it's almost by definition that politicians are skilled in persuasion, not in things like science and economics. Why are they allowed to make science and economic policy decisions when they don't understand those subjects?

I think they are doing a great job.
They have accomplished 2 things.
1 they set legal presecdent to investigate a president for no reason, just because they want to.
2, Because of 1 no one as dirty as the clintons will ever think about running for president.

This is the beauty of ND state legislature: They are limited to 80 days of session per biennium by our state constitution. If wouldn't matter if the Russians were invading through Canada, once those 80 days are up they can't reconvene until January after the next election.

Note: I'm not on the "Russian collusion" bandwagon, it's just an example.

yup that's why they are not in charge of the military

I can't remember--in Red Dawn (the original, I never saw the remake), did North Dakota get invaded?

Whole point of Red Dawn is that when people start shooting at you, waiting for congress to do something is a mistake. The 2nd amendment exists to make sure the 1st is well protected.

Never seen it, I'm probably too young (born in 91). I know that at one point ND if taken as a stand alone nation would have been second only to the USSR for nuclear arsenal, so we would have been Target #1 if the cold war had ever gone hot.
