this is ugly...
|
I'd totally drive that! I honestly think its horribly geeky, but I actually like that.
|
What I find interesting is that on a quick look.....it could be one of several modded cars on the forum.
And the 'body lines' make it look as if it was put together from parts! |
Eco-look?
Why does eco-ternative vehicles have to be so distinctively geeky looking. There must be some alternative marketing edict that it must look that part. The 'genius' market needs a Jonathan Ive vehicle designer. There is still hope, he appreciates (Aston Martins) & loves transportation design.
Tesla had to borrow from Lotus. Designer Fisker has at least put on very tasty & fashionable clothes on his designs. |
Previously posted threads on it :

I think that they need to let a talented designer adjust the surface "graphics" and maybe even improve the aero a bit. And like a lot of unusual, out-of-the-ordinary cars (the Aptera and Edison2 come to mind) they look a lot better in person than they do in still pictures.
And yes, we have a thread on this car. By the way, before we get too picky -- it is about the second or third most efficient 4 seat cars ever made. That is quite impressive accomplishment. It is also incredibly quick -- 0-60 in something like 5 seconds, and four wheel drive, too. |
I'm sorry. In nice language it
looks like a MUTT! A Citroen 2CV got together with a Smart car! Ouch on the eyes!!! Are those ghastly things surrounding the door handles exterior side protection crash bars, or someone's idea of style?? EE--Gads...!!!!! The Aztek, and the Pacer look like showgirl's in comparison! |
I like it, the rear could be more consistently integrated but overall it looks quite good - like the iMEV (and relatives) should have looked.

MG] Does this look more natural? |
|
The car in the original post is ugly. I do find the rear views interesting, but in a dead cat on the side of the road sort of way.
The green moss car is novel. The Geo Metro convertible is incredibly cute, but is ruined by that after-market wing. |

Wonder if that came with a 'buy one get one free' offer????? |

Like the wheel covers......PERIOD!!!!!!!http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-la...right-side.jpg

:o
Some things are worth more than efficiency. How could anyone take themselves seriously when they are driving that? Besides, nothing was said about its carbon footprint, ie how hard it is to manufacture. All those LCD displays aren't going to disintegrate into plant food, methinks. |
Ya'll ain't even close to ugly. Bypass straight to stops-you-dead-in-your-tracks yugly. You're just gonna go straight home and hide. Not think for a day or two.

...if that's ahead of you, it's definitely NOT a time to think about drafting, but rather about coasting down for the NEXT immediate off-ramp (ha,ha).
...oh, the humanity--my EYES, oh my, EYES! |
Once they've seen it . . . just threaten to post it again when they get out of line.
|
The 3rd post on pictures worth a thousand words will help me to forget the
literal eyesore here! I may never have the stomach to visit this thread again! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Back to the OP, gentlemen.
