Ultraguage instead of Scanguage??

I bought a Scanguage 2 but it just kept saying "connecting..." when connected to My OBD in my Golf 1.4 petrol. I've just received My refund but really I'm so envious of the technology:(, I'm wondering would the Ultraguage work although the Scanguage didn't?

Does anybody have any experience of this?

ISO Protocol.

Thanks in advance.

...the only reliable answer is to ASK the guy selling the Ultragauge if it will / won't work on your car.

...since it's a relatively "new" product, there probably aren't too many in use yet.

...I have both (SG and UG) and prefer the SGII.

Thanks very much, I did email them earlier and have just received a response.

We show the 1.9L, but we have no information on the 1.4L.
Since 1996 there has roughly 31,000 different combinations of years, makes, and models. While we have designed UltraGauge to the federally mandated standard, it is not possible to test against them all. And there are some manufacturers that have missed the mark. Its encouraging that it has been proven to work with the 1.9L.

We simply can't say if it will work on the 1.4 , as we have not tested with your vehicle.
The fact that ScanGauge Does not work is concerning, however, we have seen several instances were UltraGauge worked with a vehicle when ScanGauge did not.

The only way to be sure is to buy it and see I'd say, at least $60 is more favourable then $170:)

...are you aware that the UG only operates in US units, not metrics?

Yeah thanks for letting Me know, well if it works I'll glady put up with imperial, anyway my car is in miles as its older before K/M came into Ireland.
