Unusual enclosure for the freeduino mpguino

I decided to build another mpguino for the winter wagon. I went with the tried and true freeduino, green LCD, and the tact switch panel came from a scrapped Dish Network receiver. I was tossing around enclosure ideas, when I stumbled upon this one. After spending $1 for something I use anyway, it was free. The fit was amazingly close, 1/8" bigger and it would not have fit. I fired it up and it seems to work fine without glitches, voltage readings are rock solid 5.04v.

I used one of those like 8 years ago to make a rear bike light. Drilled a few holes in the cap and glued in some leds. Worked decent for what I spent for it.

Haha, that looks awesome! And, it doubles as an air freshener!

Cool! I'm planning on making a custom fiberglass enclosure for mine that resides in the upper center dash vent found in the 92-95 Civics.

Heres a shot of it in the car. It wedges perfectly into the gauge area, over the lights that are not used. No problems on the way to work and back today.

Wonder what I should call it, Deoduino, or Power Stick duino? :D

Very nice!

The recycling bin is the first place I always look for something cheap and useful!!!

All the wierd little food and health and beauty containers can be used for all sorts of projects!

That depends on whether you built it using a StickDuino Kit or not!

Wouldn't it be a trip to have made the dial on the "bottom" of the deodorant container be the three tactile buttons? Rotate up for the top button, down for the bottom button and press in on the dial for the center button.
