They're watching you...

.

It's here. (in the USA)

By executive order.

And you probably haven't heard about it, yet.

The government is now building a DHS License Plate Database.

We already have speeding and red light cameras. Snap shot for Insurance companies. Transponders for tolls and RFID chipped drivers license's. Data loggers (black box) and real time GPS monitoring like GM's "On Star".

And there are many more things that identify and monitor our behaviors.

Some are chosen by the consumer.

And, some are forced upon us.

What's next...???

When is enough, enough...???

Not saying I'm for this but... Its a license plate. It is there and has been from the begining to track the vehicle. It is entered into the registration database the moment you register the vehicle. Any (law?) officer has been able to do this with a radio call, and more recently computer query, since the begining.
Most police cruisers around here have cameras that photograph every plate, all the time, and have for years.

^This is different. Now it's like a quasi-bug or GPS tracking without the court sanctioned permit, with every movement monitored and not only that, the data can be stored indefinitely.

Choose your city wisely.

Have any of you noticed what looks like a double-helix running down the middle of license plates? I wondered if it was at all related to this. It actually sounds like a good thing:

http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...yyyxEE37YYYYX-

It is a product by 3M that is supposed to deter counterfeiting, like with currency.

Hopefully this was more relevant and interesting than normal.

Right, I'm sure there's a HUUUUUGE problem with plate counterfeiting.

The key words are at the end: PROTECTING REVENUE.

Frank, I agree. But that's not the end of the story. This is not just about money, it's about wielding total power over every aspect of our lives that is regulated by gubberment, and expanding that power as much as the populace will allow. The government prints "our money". But it literally must buy influence or preferably convince the masses to keep voting one of the two major political parties into power.

Unfortunately, we now live in a society that is increasingly docile, unwilling and incapable of thinking and questioning authority. Once the masses are willing to bear anything imposed upon them, we will get what we deserve.

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule."

This is nothing new, plate scanning is common for parking enforcement and such.Hell, I work for the gov and all of their vehicles have plate scanner setups.

You want to piss your parts? Get a camera capable of seeing IR light and turn it to the sky at night. 3rd generation night vision or even a cheap cell phone camera can spot the DRONES already in use.
