VIDEO: EV Fiero with TWO motors

At the Mother Earth Fair this past weekend in Puyallup, Washington, USA, I got to see an electric Fiero that featured TWO motors AND an honest-to-goodness FLUX CAPACITOR! (NO JOKE!)

Twin motors makes good use of the 1.21GW while at the drag strip.

See the video below!

He said he had a business selling adapters? I couldn't find that page, any chance you could post the links that he talks about at different points in time?

There are a few things that are a bit odd about his car, like having to swap over the Anderson connector when it's done charging and having to look in the trunk to see if a battery is lagging behind others??? my PakTrakr gauge sends up a warning flashing at me if there is a battery issue and it lets me see the voltage of all of the batteries rise and fall as I drive and my interlock relay kills power to everything (including the lights) when I plug in.

I tried looking at his page as well, and got an error. I'll try calling him - maybe there's a problem with his web provider right now or something.

I'm also interested in various adapters for charging.

The Anderson disconnect setup is a "feature". It is the EXACT same way that electric forklifts charge. You disconnect the battery pack from the drive system, and connect it the charger. It's also the worlds greatest disconnect for when you are showing off your vehicle at a car show and some jerk starts pressing random buttons and switches.

Even though I have a charging interlock, I also pull an Anderson disconnect on my car when I have it parked on display.

The BMS is an older style one. I think that it may have previously had some sort of remote display for it.

Thanks for recording / posting that, Ben.

At first I thought this was going to be about the DIY hybrid Fiero - http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...iero-9156.html

I e-mailed the Hybrid Fiero guy last week. I was sort of hoping that he would be able to make it to the Mother Earth Fair. He couldn't, but told me that he would be happy to tell me all about it over a beer if I'm ever his his town.

Stephen, of the ELECTRIC Fiero, knows, or at least knows of Bryce, of the HYBRID Fiero fame. Seems like it sort of a small world of clean transportation in the American Pacific NorthWest.

I gave two presentations at the Mother Earth Fair - one on the electric motorcycle and one on various DIY HYBRID car projects people are doing. I included information on the Hybrid Fiero and several other projects.

I got an e-mail from Stephen. He said he's changing his web host, adding a web store, and a is in the middle of a few other bits of work on his web page, meaning it's down for the moment.

He expects it all to be up and wonderful in about a week. I'll check back occasionally and post a link when it's back up.

I think he'll have a nice shopping cart system where you can just click and buy J1772 adapters.

Then make sure you come on out next year!

Also, you might want to go visit the local EV groups sometime. Seattle and Tacoma both have great EV clubs! The guys there are smart and friendly, and love to share and talk about their vehicles!

It was just not on my list this year for whatever reason. I went two years ago, then we were traveling last year.
