Cool. I've been waiting for a couple of years for someone to post a video like this - a virtual ride along in this venerable little EV.

You can hear the clicks of the contactors in the 3-speed controller as the driver presses the accelerator.

Now I don't feel so bad about taking over a year and a half to get the ForkenSwift on the road. This guy's been working on his 1980 ComutaCar for 6 years.

Vid of his first drive... reminds me of the ForkenSwift first drive video. Looks like fun, friends watching/taping, not properly set up (no body panels!), etc....

But man, I'm jealous - he can squeal his car's tires on dry pavement!

"Electric car burnout" in the above vid at 3:19. It's pretty funny. Won't spoil it by saying why.
