VW Beetle Five Speed

I don't want to sell, but if I don't I need to get $1200 some other way. The Superbeetle really wants a fifth gear, but the installation isn't a bolt in (swing vs jointed).

It's out of a Type III, but my understanding is that the brake shoes are a little wider. Short/short axles. I'm looking for the build sheet with the ratios, if I find it I'll post those. IIRC third and fourth are brought down and a (less under-driven? I don't think it's overdrive) fifth is added. VW part number is shown and the custom parts.

The conversion was done by a shop named Mikey's in Beaverton in the 1990s. Gene Berg declined to build me one, those may be his parts.
