For those who may not have thought of it, use helicoils or perma-coils on the stripped hole. Or use a stepped stud and enlarge the hole...assuming the metal can handle it.

If you ever part these out let me know, I would be interested in a final drive.

Tall geared CX trans in ok shape. One of bolts that holds on the tiny side motor mount is stripped out. Still very usable and no other issues other than that. 130k miles. $150

or if you like we can trade - I have a LX manual tranny with all new bearings, seals, LSD. only drove on it for 12,000 miles till I finally got my VX tranny (full pics on the tranny build and LSD).

I'd really love this one for my next build: 1.5 liters of fury! lean burn, remote turbo, long gears, and LSD! Help me - I've got an additction!

Sorry I've got about $180 for one thus why I was asking about the cx transmission. If you are willing to do that price then yes I could come get it tomorrow.
