w00t! ninjette! (+ winter riding tip)
Dropped a Cleveland on this:
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...06520250_n.jpg I'm really digging the handling, and it can easily stay well ahead of traffic, plus some folks are getting ~100mpg on them too. Bolt on aftermarket fuel injection is sweet option for later also, when I save up for it. Serendipitously, my helmet needed a new shield, and the first one I saw on ebay was a dual lens snowmobile shield. It arrived yesterday, so I wiped the ice of my seat and went for a ride, what a huge difference in visibility!! I would recommend such a shield for anyone riding in the winter, maybe even a breath box if you don't want to lift the shield at stops. |
Pray tell what is a Cleveland? Would that be the old (no longer made) $1000 bill?

yup, a Cleveland is "street talk" (though probably pretty dated street talk) for $1000.

Congrats! What year? How many miles?
Find it on CL? Post a few more photos if you can. I'd like a 250 project like that myself. I assume you've seen Alan Smith's 250 from the Vetter Challenges, but here's a link to it - 2011 Streamlining a Kawasaki Ninja-Chap 44 ...and some more info - Craig Vetter Fuel Economy better mileage Introduction to fuel economy Jay |
Nice find!! I got a 1999 250 Ninja a couple of weeks ago and will be starting my mods to it after I do a baseline run. I got just got it titled and am ready to put some miles on it.
Merry XMAs and and all the best, L&S |
Nice! Mine was red - I wished I could have found a green one though.
I've long since sold it however. (Live in a small city, and it was competing with my bicycle for attention. I get less fat riding the bicycle. :) ) |
Congrats! A ninjette must be a good thing :)
