Want 'affordable' Falcon Wings
Tesla is offering a tantalizing sale, a lower priced Tesla Model X. Considering their Performance P90D model is estimated at +$115,000, the new base model 60D is offered as low as $74,000. The Tesla PR nightmares, low demand and very slow sales of the model may have been forced Tesla to offer a smaller battery pack to make if more affordable. Some engineers say that it is really has a 75D battery pack but has been 'detuned' and that a later upgrade payment could 'unlock' the capacity. Tesla hackers has new homework with the 60D. The 60D has a lower EPA est. range of 200 miles, about 37 miles less range but $9,000 cheaper than the previous base model 75D. It still has a 0-60 of 6 seconds, 130 mph top speed
and that cool parking lot showoff feature, the falcon wings. https://www.teslamotors.com/modelx/design |

In Atlanta there seem to be quite a few Teslas. I like them. But one can buy a used Leaf mucho cheaper. Same for a Volt.

Falcon wings = no sale.
On a classic Mercedes sports car, maybe. But not here. Here it's a gimmick with a BS rationale. |
