Thumbs down 15 Wheel /Rims Lightweight 5-100 Lug Unavailble

Okay
I have search the famous world wide web for the following specific describe wheel /rim 15 diameter 6.5 / 5-100 bolt/lug pattern/ 38mm offset . I came up with Enkei J10 at 14.5 pounds from Tire Rack. 2004-09 Toyota Prius Gen2

My issue is that lighter 15" wheel/rims are made however only in 4-100 bolt /lug pattern.

What a PIA

The stock Prius rims on the 2nd gen are already only 14lbs if I remember correctly. Pretty light for a 15" rim.

Newer Prius rims are slightly heavier I think but are also available in 15" with the same bolt pattern.

You are very much and accurately correct in your statement.

However, I seek lighter there is one or two lighter ones at 9 pounds I believe the model is Rays Eco JDM and maybe PIAA...going for crazy money at 500-600 a wheel/rim just found them listed never found them for sale...t

The Prius C/ Yaris have a 4-100 lug pattern 15 rim and have more available rims like the Enkei RFP at 9lbs

The other issue is a lot of aftermarket and OEM do no state rim physical weight at all

Have you checked PriusChat.com yet? Every now and then someone sells a set of 9 or 11 pound wheels for the Prius, albeit usually at a pretty penny.

For 4x100 there's the wider Volt CE28s at 6.5lbs and the narrower Insight space savers at somewhere between 7 and 9 lbs.

So the prius uses 5 on 100 mm instead of 5 on 4.5 inches?
Is this a Toyota thing?

Can you get a 14" rim that size over the brakes? That with a taller tire to make up the difference in diameter will probably drop your unsprung and rotational mass the most.

Older 14" Toyota alloys will be heavier. Toyota specifically engineered their 15" Prius rims to be lightweight at 14lbs, similar to how Honda's Insight rims are around 10 lbs.

Aftermarket 14" will be the same situation as aftermarket 15" as far as fitment goes.
