Neat gadget: Solar Auto Vent

I dunno if anyone has seen these. I just stumbled upon one whilst searching for solar stuff on craigslist. I have no idea if its effective at all, but its a neat idea.

Looks like there are at least two kinds out there. Same idea each. Solar panel powers a squirrel cage fan that blow air out of the car from a cracked window. No ratings for max CFM or anything of course...

And if you're in the Milwaukee area:

Hi,

I have tried a similar device -- it was way too feeble to do anything to cool the car. Cracking your windows is far more effective.

The angle from the PV panel to the sun is never ideal, and the tinting/reflection on the glass make the little fan barely spin.

when I finish the new body for my citi-car, I want to make the roof out of pv (have 5 10 watt, 12 volt panels already for the task) one of those panels I would like to hook to the vent fan, to pull air from under the car in to the cabin.
