What is the best thing to happen to you today?
I had a nice chat with a lady down in the Phoenix area on Thursday. She had had a great day and asked how mine went. I did not try to complain, but things did not work out for me very well. She was extremely sympathetic. I was trying to figure out why some people were behaving the way they were and how to resolve the situation, which unfortunately resulted in the conversation feeling too negative. For some reason she says all of the nice things but "Hey, I need to go, but I will talk to you soon!" I just did not receive a response to my last message and I felt frustrated that the conversation ended on a negative note.
It felt like all that I did was complain, while she was sympathetic and positive. Conversing with her was the best part of my day. What was the best part of your day? |
It's a toss-up between stubbing my toe and cutting my finger.

I was going to start a new thread for this but it's on-topic here.
Youtube blew my mind, again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zHHPCAao4k |
Found the residence and employment details for an early 19th Century clerk I needed to track down.

He is too cavalier with the evidence, and he I guess accidentally deceives his viewers by deceiving himself about the temple's renovation history. It was renovated in the 1920s. But there sure were ancient wheels, and not just in India. On the Pontic-Caspian steppe Indo-Europeans also had them thousands of years ago. And those eight-spoke VX and HX wheels we admire here sometimes reflect an ancient design. The ancient Celtic God Taranis had a wheel as a central symbol. He is sometimes considered the Celt's Zeus or Thor, depending on what you read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taranis Check out the wheels. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara...ive_wheels.jpg |

But the bicycle looks bogus. 12-spoke wheels, must be moto-cross. ;) There's a pedal but no chain drive. The frame has no down-tube for the front fork. It looks more medieval European than ancient Indian. |
Visited my parents; Been a while. Enjoyed the long(er) drive.
Yesterday? Pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on a new car. |

What is the best thing to happen to you today? Another day of being able to look down at the green grass, instead of up at the roots... :) > |
