I have now added my previous data to the EM garage. The last 7 or so fills are with the SGII. I've seen about a 2-3 MPG increase with minor changes.

It is a slight progress, but progress nonetheless.

Not great numbers, but I love my CL too much to get rid of it. (But if I could find a 4 cylinder manual to replace my 6 cylinder auto it may be a win-win :thumbup:)

Footnote: I have made this change while out of school, which is when I typically get my WORST mileage. Can't wait to see what happens when I get back to the grind in a couple weeks.

I take it your "before" period spans some time? Just wondering if there's any seasonal influence on the numbers as well. (Do you get seasons in Sacramento? :))

The "before" data spans about 2 years. The real low sections are summer because I'm not making the 60-mile-round-trip drive to school everyday and most trips are shorter. Typically mileage is slightly lower in fall than spring, though.

Yes, we get seasons here, but not real severe. Summers are hot (90+ most days) and it will get as low as the low 20's (at least where I am)on occasion at night in the winter.

UPDATE: I decided to experiment with a little pulse & glide today (coasting in neutral, not EOC). The results were astounding. Going to my destination (about 26 miles, 1150 ft down in elevation, and 80% highway) I attained 39.3 MPG, and returning home, 29.5 MPG. That averages out to 34.4 MPG overall (72% above EPA). All numbers were taken from my ScanGauge which is usually pretty accurate. I'm hooked now!

Nice job on your MPG increase, keep it up! I don't want to be overly critical, but if you get some spare time, it would be interesting to see the fuel log updated with those 66 fill ups from before, then you could really see the difference. Just a suggestion. Great job.

It has been done. Can't really see the difference yet. It'll show up when I get back to my 60-mile-daily school commute in a week or so, though.
