What I laugh at...

Muscle wagons that have to pass me (Then they either give me a angry look or flip me off as they pass me)because I’m going to slow for them, but then I catch up to them over and over. I laugh so hard, in fact if I pull up next to them, I have to put down my window so they can hear me laughing.
What is sad is most of the time when this happens, I’m going the speed limit, or just a tad below. Why do they have to floor it when they pass me? Probably the same people that complains when filling up their muscle wagon at the pump (“I’ve put in $200 in gas the last week and cut down my driving”).
I’ve been stuck between 39 and 41 MPG the last few trips to work. I hope when I switch over to Mobil-1, that I can break 42mpg constantly.

have you had significant mpg gains from mobile 1? i love the stuff and use it exclusively in my trans am (manufacturer spec). what weight do you use?

Call me ignorant/uninformed/whatever but...what is a muscle wagon, is that an SUV or something?

And yea, I had a guy do that to me yesterday, he passed me in the suicide lane down the middle of the road and not 30 seconds later I pulled up to a stop light next to him, he glared and me and I waved back...I love it.

Maybe a muscle wagon is something in the same car class as the Dodge Magnum. I love it when what the OP said happens. It just shows how much their speeding pays off. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/r...olleye0011.gif[/url]

What other muscle wagons are there? Maybe a Benz or BMW wagon?

my friends wife drives a chevy caprice wagon which came with the same engine as the covette, the LT1... It's been modified, 6 speed conversion, hochkiss(sp) suspension big sway bars, wide wheel/tire package, painted flat black.. oh and it has exhaust cut outs... so... the magnum SRT-8 has nothing on this wagon..It's pretty fast for a wagon

Mercedes has come AMG wagons.

yeah the caprice wagons came to mind for me, when i was stationed at ft benning one of the taxi drivers had one and drove like a bat out of hell

"Muscle wagon" dates to a "earth First!" bumper sticker I saw many years ago-

"If your picker was as small as mine, you'd drive a muscle wagon too"

I love timing lights on a two-lane highway so that when a car passes me and roars to a stop at a light, I am coming up to the light at 10-25mph and when it turns green, I'm off more quickly and pass them back.

I've repeated this several times with one vehicle ... and you can tell how annoyed they are because they pass you back going faster each time. :D
