Unhappy The 2013 Las Vegas Vetter Challenge has been cancelled

Craig Vetter, designer and inventor of the Windjammer fairing,Triumph Hurricane Motorcycle and fuel economy motorcycles

Craig posted this on his homepage:

Quote:

2013 Vetter Challenges
May 3, 2013, Carmel, CA
July 19, 2013, Lexington, Ohio
The Las Vegas Challenge has been cancelled

My hip operation turned out to be far more extensive than anyone had imagined. I am just not ready for Las Vegas. Yes, we are all disappointed. We will plan another Challenge as soon as we can.
I hope Craig feels better soon.

That's a bummer.

Hopefully Craig will heal up quick and be back at it shortly.

Yes, its disappointing but it's most important that Craig recover well from his surgery. I'll see if I can visit with him this next week.

That's too bad.

What is the most flabergasting to me is that it is apparently more a money issue more than health issue.
For that matter, I am very happy to live in France where we can not go bankrupt on top of a sickness ...

I hope the concept of the high efficiency, streamlined luggage carrying motorcycle will grow to the point where there will be regional events on a more regular basis and that Craig Vetter will appoint other ride chaperones to administrate for him so he doesn't have to travel so much anymore.

The concept is there already.
Has been there for quite a while.
The solution is there too.
It wins the challenge time and again.

It's just not (made) available, not even in its basic naked form ...
Just maybe, you might find one @ a surplus dump.

Why even bother about the time it takes to load them grocery bags ?
