What is the most efficient tire?
Hey Guys,
My trusty little C-Max has 90,000 miles on it (original tires). I will be relacing them at 100,000 miles (that should be about 4 months from now). What have you guys found to be the most efficient tire? BTW, my lifetime MPG (including the cold northern winters) is a flat 50.0mpg carrying 300 pounds of equipment for work. I love this car! Matt |
If you got that many miles out of the OE tires, with that mpg, why change now? At 50 cents a mile your mileage write off is huge.

...the 'lowest rolling coefficient' value title goes to locomotive wheels!

Yeah, with that kind of tire mileage, you should probably go with what came OE on the vehicle. Those will most likely be the best tires for fuel economy you can get in your size.

 I didn't know tires could last that long

Most 18-wheelers get over 100k out of their tires. |
