Actually I take back my previous comment. I think I've gotten the worst fuel mileage in my 2006 Prius. I've owned it since 2021 or 2022 (it was a february when everyone was still wearing covid masks) and have driven less than 10 miles since then, but would often go out and start the engine and idle it for a few minutes every month. I filled it once during that period, and it's now low again. So about 12 gallons for 8 miles of range, less than 1 mpg.

I think you win! Extra points for it being a Prius too!

Thanks!

I don't know whether to feel proud or downright embarrassed.

I dropped my truck off at the body shop after a deer hit. When I got it back, they had put 0.3 miles on it, and burned 1.3 gallons. That's 0.23 miles per gallon.

The body shop is 4 miles from my house, and I had told them I would run over and pick it up the next morning as part of my regular morning run. So they "did me a favor" and warmed it up. It was -15 deg F that morning.

A cold start at -22 deg C, with handbrake to the rear wheels frozen and snowchains on the front wheels.
I don't know the exact number, as the car computer does not display more than 30 L/100km (less than 7.8 MPG(US)).

This started improving after ~30km, when I could finally remove the chains and the handbrake started thawing from the friction.

I've got a brake line on the Acura that is damaged and lets water in, then it freezes with the parking brake on. I have the replacement line, but haven't got a round tuit yet.

Hopefully, that is a cable instead of an hydraulic line?

Yeah, plastic shell, steel conduit, steel cable. The plastic shell is worn in one area, for reasons unknown to me. I bought the car with 36,000 miles on it.

I figured it out when I kept stalling out from a stop, which was unusual for me. Pulled into a parking lot and felt heat coming off the drivers side rear wheel.

Now when it's freezing and I park outside, I'll leave it in gear but keep the brake off.

Replaced the pads with ceramics.

My brother parked a 1959 Chevy in front of my house with a leaking gas tank and left the country. I don't know how much but it was puddling in the gutter.

I finally stopped it by rubbing a potato on the jagged metal.
