where to get coroplast for mods
Where can I get coroplast for aeromods? if that isn't the best then what is?
|
I got a few misprinted election signs from a local sign shop's scrap pile, and I believe others here have done the same.
So, find a sign shop, go in, and ask if they have any scrap coroplast. They'd probably be happy to give you some. |
Yes, and you can also buy whole 4'x8' sheets from sign shops for $15-20.
|
Some fool left a few sheets all in a row on the side of the road near me. Darn litter bugs ;)
|
LOL, I bet they had the fools name on them in big letters too :)
|
The signage at most gas/convenience stores are coroplas.
I get lots from a local store that just through it out after the promotion or sale has ended. The pieces aren't huge, generally 3x4 feet or so, but it has been a great source for these and other projects at no cost. |
Can we get an update/additional perspective on this?
|
Minimum order from Cope plastics is $100, that's 8 - 10 pieces 4x8 x 4mm thick or 5mm in black, look at the specal deals page, fluted polypropylene: I just ordered 13 pieces that I need to pick up.

Check local sign shops or glass outlets. The parent company may give info on suppliers. Also check industrial supply houses such as McMaster-Carr, MSC, or Grainger for materials such as honeycomb aluminum, polycarbonates, and ABS. Election season is coming up and signs are sprouting already
