Spring enthusiasm!

Spring is here, the snow is gone from the road and I have a urge to hunt milage.

Adjusted the valves, and renewed spark-plugs, transmission oil and engine oil.
I also got myself a new set of summer-wheels, (old set was dated 1998... )
I went for 145/80 instead of the standard 165/70.

Hope to see great improvements in the comming weeks!

Yes, I like the feeling when the car begins to loosen up in the warm weather and the good numbers return again.

It hasn't happened here yet. Send some nice weather, please!

Mother nature just won't let go here in the Northeast US. It was down to 15°F just one week ago & snowed 2 days ago. We are hoping for some more springlike weather here too!! (Fingers crossed)

Anybody know about when the summer blend will start showing up at the pump?

Thanks!!

It might be here (summer blend). Gas prices have jumped about 30 cents a gallon. Today I drove my 40 mile round trip. MPG gauge showed 52.6 MPG for the trip. Missed almost every light going east but got caught by a few coming back west. MPG each way was almost the same. I did drive a little faster going east, then milked it coming back west, except for the last mile of Interstate getting in the left lane to exit. Real mileage about 51, I'll take that. Ride the bike tomorrow. Highs of 70 degrees predicted for the rest of the week.

regards
Mech
