Winter has killed!

Since I have joined this forum my mpg has gone up and up! Till now with the worst tank since I joined back in the summer. I mean 35.99 is good for a tank but not like my usual 40-42 avg. Ready for spring!

Wow i'm impressed you are getting so much MPG, how fast do you drive? I'm getting about 32 in the Winter (haven't had it in the summer yet) at about 70 (I never accelerate over 70).

This week we had a record broken, the previous high temperature for January 7th was established in 1878 at 28 degrees, the lowest high temperature temperature in recorded history where I live for that date, which held for 136 years. Last Tuesday the high temp was 21 degrees, breaking the previous record by 7 degrees, Wind chills were in negative numbers.

On the trip to the doctors to take the wife for a minor surgical procedure my mileage barely broke 41 indicated with ambient temps at 16 degrees. Typically I can hit 50 or more on the same trip of around 38 miles when the temps are above 65 degrees.

The temp on the Fiesta's instrument cluster was 45 degrees when I pulled out of the garage but quickly dropped to 15 degrees within the first two miles travelled.

I keep it around 55 I usually speed up to 60 and coast down hills in neutral till I hit 50 so I stay in of. Yeah we had some single digit temps here.

We had -13F for a high on Monday and rain now forecast for Friday.

Yeah, I've seen my mileage drop from 29ish to 22.5 since summer. Average temp has probably changed 60-70 degrees.

My best tank came during summer with a density altitude of 2500 and relative air density of 92.5%. This last tank was with a DA of 128 ft and RAD of 99.6%.
4.3mpg difference
