Please Move The Deer Crossing Signs!

LISTEN to GREAT WISDOM.....

Frank Lee 12-05-2012 06:38 AM

Now that's a good Minnesota girl... probably smacked 'em all in an SUV with a cell phone glued to her empty head.

One can only hope she hasn't and won't reproduce but as we know, the intelligent ones are also the ones least likely to do that, especially in great quantity. (see Idiocracy)

SoobieOut 12-05-2012 06:47 AM

In Canada they build overpasses or underpasses for the Deer to cross the road, but that costs alot more than a sign.

niky 12-05-2012 08:08 AM

Won't somebody think of the poor children!

Now let's move those pesky railroad crossing signs somewhere safer, too...

jamesqf 12-05-2012 01:08 PM

Oh, there are worse than her. Near my friends' place, there is a blind curve, with mountain/wildlife refuge on one side of the road, and a house on other side. The people who live in that house put out food for the deer, so the deer cross the road to get it. Then the people wonder why so many of "their" deer get hit by cars.

...what those house owners aren't letting ANYBODY know is that that's *how* they get so much "road-kill-meat" FREE for their freezers...and you actually thought they were DUMB???

larrybuck 12-05-2012 09:55 PM

Oh Dear, oh my!

Frank Lee 12-06-2012 01:55 AM

You mean, "Oh deer, Oh my!"

It would be great if that worked. I'd put up "No Mosquitos Allowed" signs on my property.

I don't think that explanation flies, unless they like their venison really well-ripened.

Kind of reminds me of the day I was inline at the bank. The clerk told the customer if he quit paying his bills he would not get any more over draft fees.

Been there, done that.

Smurf 12-06-2012 05:27 PM

True story, I heard that live on the radio.

I happened to be in Fargo that morning, driving to the big mall ("Wasted Acres") and damn near crashed. Pulled over at Wendy's for safety's sake.

Guess I didn't make myself clear: these people don't collect the dead deer immediately, or at least not all of them, as it's not unusual to get a good nosefull of several days old venison. And I suspect what removal is done is courtesy of the local coyotes, crows, and similar.

Weather Spotter 12-08-2012 09:53 AM

Up in da u.p. those signs tell people where the good hunting is :D

gone-ot 12-08-2012 01:45 PM

COURTEOUSY TRANSLATION: u.p. = Upper Peninsula.

JRMichler 12-08-2012 04:14 PM

More courtesy translation: Michigan Upper Peninsula.

Weather Spotter 12-08-2012 05:49 PM

Someone from AZ knows about the UP? must have northern blood :)

I must be a troll to forget that not all people are enlightened to the promised land that the U.P. is :D

thanks for the translations!
