Wow, that is going to be a nice piece of work. I would love to see the change in Cd when you get that done :) Just make sure you get the top and side angles right. Maybe an adjustable mock-up first for tuft testing?

that does look good, i think i would be confident in that design to build a cheap version, and check it, although that looks like flow should be attached.

maybe cardboard, and then a more final version

Glad you like it.
( I would done a better job if I knew you would have liked it.)

I was just looking at a Del-Sol a few weeks ago, and this came to mind.
I passed on buying it because of the poor mileage figures ( 32 MPG highway )
I see that you have doubled that. ( Now I am kicking myself )

I would suggest buying a plastic model of your car if you are actually considering anything like this.
Trying to get angles to work right can be a huge pain, and doing it in a small scale can save many hours of grief when you go full scale. Besides, wouldn't you like to have a model of your car too ?
( I would act quickly though, since the models of my car ( a '93 civic hatch ) have all been discontinued )

I did a search for a plastic model of your car. Several are already discontinued.

Thanks again for all your help.

The model idea is awesome!!! Hopefully I can find one.

I really want to do the boat tail on this car. I come from a auto body back ground so far as building the panels and what not it won't be to hard.
But like you said getting the angles right (for aero)and making it look good is the kicker.

The nice thing about this car is that it would really easy ( um ..easier ) to do a full boat tail on this car since it is so short. It would add only a couple http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2580/...bdc6076e_o.jpgof feet to the back.
You could even use your stock lights, but you would have to move them down and closer together.

You can find a model if you look hard enough. I saw one just recently. I'll go there tomorrow to see if it is still there. ( Although this was almost a year ago )

( I forgot - your car is blue. )

Here is a kit that might still be available : CR-X Del Sol (Model Car) Fujimi Tohge Series|No.31
