Winter with Cars

We just got our third snow storm of this winter, and it left us about 8 inches of powder. It was ~4F when I went out to clear the snow. Me and my Snow Joe ( Snow Joe Ultra 18-IN 13.5 AMP Electric Snow Thrower - SJ620 ) and a 200 foot extension cord ...

Cleared a 90 foot long driveway, including the plow pile and:
Two ~36 foot driveways, , including both plow piles and:
A ~55 foot path between the house and the long driveway and:
A ~40 foot path to the compost bin and:
An access area to the fire hydrant, through the plow pile.

In about and hour and a half.

With about 16 cents of electricity.

My dad won't even bother clearing the drive way for 8". Says it keep unwanted guests away.


Here we got the first nice (cool) day of the year 62F.

It was -11F when I left for work this morning. Yay for my block heater!

That is really cool Neil. I know I absolutely love my electric lawn tractor with the snowblower attachment. It works great.

-4F and my DC-DC converter wasn't charging my 12 volt for the first five minutes. The roads are pretty bad, or mental note, let some air out my 55psi tires! Well guess who gets to stay home from work and roam the internet today?

rather deal with snow than flood water. check bbc website. am a lucky one no risk of flooding in house but roads are a different matter. already had to dig one vehicle out of the mud as hard standing sank !!! Thank goodness pile of brokren bricks duellies and locking auto in second gear made life easier than trying to get a tow out. not sure how auto box woukd like drive wheels being dragged. this will of ruined a accurate mpg figure and fixing igintion leads.

:-) if i had a boat tail on my camper i would be better of in reverse in uk at moment. lol :-)
