Worst, Gas Mileage, Ever
Don't you love when you do something time consuming and expensive like a head swap and it makes your FE go like this:

What swap did you do?

Arghhhh, all that time and effort for nothing ... so far. Do you think the MPG will go back to normal or stay low or ?!?!?!? CarloSW2 |
Stay low I'm assuming. Luckily I should only need to fill up once more before the VX engine goes in.

Hmm.. I'm very curious to know why. Those aren't vtec right? did you have to change computers?.. what about the compression of your engine vs. that of the CX, any difference?
|
Changing computers seems to have made it worse. It doesn't run funky other than being powerless, I think the o2 took a crap on me, what else...compression should be almost identical

Could you possibly be off a tooth on your timing belt?
|
It's rather possible, but I'll be damned if I have the timing gun with me (or, to be honest, if I feel like spending my last day of skool getting covered with crap to reset my timing before a 7 hour drive home). :)
|
Its THAT hard to set timing on those?
|
Well, not having many tools, I imagine if it was off a tooth or two I'd have to take out the cam and reset it like that. It's not actually hard, but I'm at college, working in a public parking lot, not exactly my cup of tea.
|
Unfortunately, its not as easy as undoing a clamp bolt on the dizzy and turning it to get the timing right. You can only do timing though the belt as far as I know, unless you get adjustable cam gears.

How about some break in time?
