Happy Earth Day!

Santa Cruz, CA. is going backwards it seems to me with EVs. We had more in 2002 to 2010. I found this an interesting comparison:

Interesting but i still don't belive a hybrid or a EV is better for the enviroment than a cheap, simple, small engine car. I would be very interested to see how much polution and energy is used to make a Hybrid, drive it and service it for 10 years VS. the same for let's say a Civic.

What if you convert an old car and charge it with solar panels? That's what I have planned when we move to Arizona. If the electricity is clean, and the car is used, and the battery insides are recycled, I don't see how you can go wrong.
