Are you prepared for THE END?

Will it be a 1973-1974 redux?

I'm surprised they made no mention of war? Countries would no doubt try to take each other's oil

Sensationalism usually has the reverse effect when facts show the fallacy of dire predictions. I find that it actually mades the job of selling my patented technology more difficult. Meanwhile the real potential pathway to progress is disguised by agendas that have no basis in reality, facts, or confirmable scientific research or historic context.

I think this planet stands less than an ice cubes chance in hades of preempting the next energy crises (last one was manufactured). I also think that the "doomsdayers" are actually having the opposite effect of their intentions, assuming their intentions are honorable and sincere.

The whole basis of the presentation assumes that production levels are indicative of supply, i.e., if the production levels are plateauing then that means we're almost out of oil. That's a false hypothesis. While supply does affect production, there's whole lot more to it than that.

For one thing, production levels are also based on demand. Demand is highly dependent on economic conditions--the better the economy, the more people need oil to do work. He's based his presentation on the last 7 years. That's basically Sept 11, 2011 until today. Have you looked at the global economy since Sept. 11? Not good. If times are tough, people use less oil so less oil gets produced, even if the supply is available.

Now, there's even more to it that what I've said above, but my main point was that production levels are not necessarily indicative of supply.

Now days demand and supply have almost nothing to do with one another, oligopolies see to it that they don't.

This means capacity also does not relate to supply or production levels.

This also leaves out the fact that there is lots of harder to get energy supplies available including various ignored nuclear sources.

As gas price increases, other fuels will start filling the void for some time.

Thats why having a diesel is important. You can make at least 2other types of fuel burn in it if your vehicle is not too new!

Larry- That is one of the main reasons for my recent, low-tech diesel swap into my car.

I think the day will come in our lifetime.

However peak Phophorus is of greater concern, since you can not eat oil.

I lol'ed. This article reads like some underground conspiracy theorist website about how 9/11 was caused by the government. The only thing missing is a black background.
