I love it! He don't need no stinking body shop!

And then when he rides...

A Prius Woody, LOL, I love it.

Renewable organic cellulose cell matrix technology. AKA Wood.

Very nice.

That's one of the things I like about this planet. Hydrocarbon Fiber processed by organic self-assembly into micro-scale helical-wall cellular energy absorbtion structures. Extraordinarily low density for efficient, single-component panel structures. So tough it can absorb and capture nails. All this with beauty that is often copied, but seldom equalled.

. . .
Looking at the BEFORE photos, the rear was totally bashed in.
The 12v battery was crushed to smithereens and just powder as
well as the "black-brake-energy-storage-box" along side it.
That box appears to be full of THUMB size electrolytic
capacitors adding up to almost 30 FARADS of capacitance.
Apparently that stores enough energy to operate the brakes even
if you lose the 12v system. Now combine all those crushed
electrolytic GOO and all the ACID from the crushed battery, and
let it sit in a junkyard for 6 months before I bought it, and
then I just banged it all out and let it sit for another 2 years
before really getting to work on it, and AMAZINGLY there was NO
unusual rust on all that mangled metal!

Looks very similar to my VX when I got it, but nothing in the rear end to cause problems.

Within the next month (2010) the mileage will be double the 27,492 when I got it delivered in March 2008.

Really. 30 farads? I'm an electronics greenhorn but that sounds like a lot.
I had no idea there was such a thing in the Prius. I assume that's in the 2004+ models though. Does the nhw11 have that?

I don't know enough about the NHW20 to answer. I've never found a capacitor box in the schematics.
