Your favorite PICTURES of your ecomodded ride!

I just realized we don't have a thread just for sharing favorite pictures!

This will be a place where you can show off your ride with all of it's mods. Whether it has a few, or many.
I'm sure lots of questions about mods will come up, but I'd like to request that the questions be asked via PMs, or find that person's thread and ask the questions there. :) This is a thread for PICTURES! (And stories/descriptions to go with the pictures if you want.)

I'll start:
This past Sunday, RAVadoodle got to go on a 600 mile round trip to Seattle, from Spokane. We HAD to get a picture with the Space Needle. But, in my mind, the REAL attraction in the picture is RAVadoodle and her cool lookin skirts. :p Lol.

Great thread idea!

Love that first pic. I spy a Space Needle. (And RAV4 that looks like it's from the future!)

myrefugeisintheLord -- Just posting to say you must have been within blocks of my son's apartment. That's the view from his balcony.

I'm not so tied to extreme aeromodding as some folks here are, but I might admit I like the AeroFocus' combination of hatch and boat-tail

this was at the Dallas Park in AZ.

I like the white/black contrast!
and how the rear mods flow together.

Very well done!

Thanks Rooster!!!
let's see:
larger tire diameter 245/50 instead of 245/45
lowered front end 3/4 inches
Dark tint (reduce a/c use) (but I always run the climate control!)
rear skirts
under belly pan - front & rear
body kit (2 inches lower)
stealth grill block (w/ twin aux fans PUSHING air thru radiator)
scangauge
window visors for that perfect day!!!!

epa 22mpg - 32mpg on 1700 mile trip to dallas (this picture from trip)

2 MPG Militia cars in one pic!!!...(Psst! Hey Refuge... Wouldn't your spare tire look cool with the word Militia on it?;)) WeatherSpotter

My favorite pic of just my car, however, is the pic of the car as it never was...

Thanks Cd!

myrefugeisintheLord 03-30-2013 07:46 PM

Jethro, Ya, it would look good with Militia added. :) However, I'm well on my way to getting a Rural Mail Carrier position with the USPS, and RAVadoodle is my only vehicle that works for that position. That means all advertising will have to come off. And seeing how I CAN'T hypermile during work, HYPERMILING!, MPG, and probably Ecomodder.com stickers will have to come off.... :( Sad. That's kind of Why I was focusing more on the back for those pictures....

But seeing how this is a picture thread, here's a couple of my little CRX, while up on Steptoe Butte. He only has a kill switch so far.

Those first little CRXs were VERY cool cars. Great handling and quick! :D

oh yeah.......

pretty decent mpg!!!!

Arragonis 03-31-2013 03:21 PM

From the thread I posted above, I really like this car :

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93...y/IMG_0659.jpg

From here (also on EM, has some contraversial stickers - just saying, not judging)

myrefugeisintheLord 08-15-2013 01:31 PM

I suppose I can add some updated pics of my CRX. ;)

The things added since the last pictures are Wheel covers and an MPGuino. :)

^^^ Tried to get a picture with the moon, but I wasn't getting THAT part very well. ;) It was still too light out.

http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3585b533.jpg
^^^ For a driving game I do with the CRX. Was suppose to be with a monster truck or something at least 40" off the ground. THAT MUST BE ONE BIIIIIGGGG GAS HOG!!!!! :O

Not pictured is the rear windshield wiper delete. The partial grill block and 45 psi in the tires are the only other mods.

tvbd56 04-30-2015 04:01 AM

This would probably be my favorite one. I gotta get my HX wheels on!:snail:

I call this picture "The Clash of the Two Worlds."

http://s26.postimg.org/egxmcd47t/0423151606.jpg

Pictured is my ZX2, along with a black NNBS Chevrolet Silverado. 6" lift kit, 20x10 Moto Metal rims, 35x12.50R20 Federal Couragia M/T's, and probably stock gears (lol!). This is the "norm" for my area, and I used to be a part of it. You can say I've had a radical change ;)

freebeard 04-30-2015 02:08 PM

Here's my car at Bonneville Salt Flats last September without the bike rack.

http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-fr...-salty-bug.jpg

Best tank on that trip was 37mpg. Average was 34mpg.
  • Electronic ignition
  • Lower on both ends
  • 165-50/15s on the front
  • front stress bar
  • cryogenically tempered brake parts
  • (one) wiper delete
  • radio/antenna delete
  • 10 gallon range extender

Here's the range extender and stress bar:

It's amazing how much the color changes between B'ville and the PNW overcast.

BabyDiesel 05-01-2015 02:30 PM

Not mine!

If you look closely, you will find a partial grill block :D:D:D

Arragonis 05-01-2015 04:30 PM

I'm struggling to find any reason at all to think that is in any way a desirable thing. Either in terms of looks or how it might drive.

I suspect the driver might have issues ?

No issues Arragonis, this is the way some trucks are around here in my part of the USA. It is mainly for looks, this is the truck game, as it is called. And I kinda desire a rig similar that... just not as a DD :)

Agreed, and his tires are inflated well

freebeard 05-01-2015 08:53 PM

That LED light-bar is a nice touch, but it needs to be cantilevered out in front of the windshield so it doesn't add frontal area.

There are some reasonable use cases; mainly, logging, mining and pulling a plow. Meanwhile in other news Blue Origin had a successful first launch but failed to stick the powered landing, just like SpaceX.

I suspect it might be dirtier in those cases.

Ron in my driveway with it's tiny, tiny mirrors. Soon to come is the front lower grill block, which will look just like the one I had on Turtle.

I also like the pics of the three family Insights together
