So I got tired of my radio only getting one station so I took my antenna off and installed an OEM Honda S2000 powered antenna base and modified it to fit my car, using my original antenna bezel. The new antenna base uses a different type of antenna so I got a Stubby antenna that measures 4 inches tall, opposed to my stock antenna which was about 2.5 feet. Reception is much better, due to the amplified base and I'll get a very very small improvement in my aerodynamics. Additionally this new antenna is thick aluminum and I screwed it down VERY tight, so I no longer have to worry about kids breaking it off or stealing my antenna. Both have happened before.
