So I got tired of my radio only getting one station so I took my antenna off and installed an OEM Honda S2000 powered antenna base and modified it to fit my car, using my original antenna bezel. The new antenna base uses a different type of antenna so I got a Stubby antenna that measures 4 inches tall, opposed to my stock antenna which was about 2.5 feet. Reception is much better, due to the amplified base and I'll get a very very small improvement in my aerodynamics. Additionally this new antenna is thick aluminum and I screwed it down VERY tight, so I no longer have to worry about kids breaking it off or stealing my antenna. Both have happened before.

Thanks! I've only seen this mod done by two people and never seen it in person. I'm very satisfied with how well it turned out.

It might work. I had to modify both the S2000 hardware and my car's original parts. It took about 20 minutes and a Dremel to complete everything.

My brother once broke off Dad's antenna. He replaced it with one on a spring.

My brother is autistic and obsessed with flags. He used it to make a flagpole.
