A crappy tank! I had a slow leaking tire fixed a week ago. Then when I check my tire pressure Saturday, the pressure was down. Still a slow leak. The tire shop said the plug is leaking. My tires are pretty worn, so I am looking at getting a new set of tires. I am going to try to get Bridgestone B381's. Anyway, I am guessing low pressure in the one tire trashed my FE!  |

Included a couple days of stop and go traffic on my way home from work due to accidents. I think I might have been slightly better had it not been for those. Also I think I had my tire fixed after my last fillup due to a nail in it. So a small part of this tank might have been with an underinflated tire. |

I was hoping to average over 40mpg on this tank. Not sure. I was struggling to keep my FE up. I did make a lot of short trips on this tank. But my regular trips to and from work seemed to have a lower FE.
I noticed today that one of my tires had a lower PSI than the others. I found what looks like a staple in the tread. I am going to get it fixed tomorrow hopefully. Not sure what this happened. Had to have been since last weekend when I last checked my tires. Maybe this is why my FE was lower than I hoped? |

My wife drove the first part of the tank on the freeway using cruise control and no hypermiling techniques. I struggled to improve the average for the rest of the tank, still did not get it above 40mpg. *grumble* |
