2009-05-12 162.2 mi. 4.67 US gal $1.245 34.73 US some additional dams at the end of this tank
a small wai experiment
2009-05-05 328.7 mi. 9.6 US gal $1.204 34.24 US smooth dams in place 50% topgrillblock. perhaps a bit of a heavy foot this tank
2009-04-20 286.5 mi. 7.93 US gal $1.212 36.13 US return trip from holliday in the ardenes, two days of highway and hill driving

oil change
2009-04-17 119.3 mi. 3.3 US gal $1.169 36.15 US
2009-04-15 487.7 mi. 13.85 US gal $1.185 35.21 US weather improvements, experi?mented with new smooth dams
2009-03-25 315 mi. 9.37 US gal $1.169 33.62 US
2009-03-12 359.1 mi. 10.69 US gal $1.169 33.59 US temps are getting a little warmer. fixed broken weel dams, added frontal dams, and taped hood seems with wind striping
2009-02-25 436.2 mi. 13.66 US gal $1.14 31.93 US temperature is getting a bit warmer... housemoving so lots of short trips etc... also slightly longer work commute still i'm trying to keep up some eco driving
2009-02-06 392.2 mi. 12.7 US gal $1.138 30.88 US first "reliable" result of this year... temps are getting slightly better but not the milage... i'm running a grillblock for the topgrill wich doesn't seem to help much, and recently i noticed on of my wheeldams has been broken off... i think i'll revise these once more
2009-01-21 492.1 mi. 16.22 US gal $1.102 30.34 US estimate based on what i remember 7.7 l/100km and the data about the previous and next tank
recovered the data while moveing (forces you to go trough all your stuff) still my guess was acurate and the milage is bad
combination of partial fillup on 01/17/09 and full fillup on 21/17/09... virtual average of these two filups
somethings needs to be adressed... the car has been returning a crap milage these last months... might be the cold, but i'm not happy with my results
2008-12-31 353.6 mi. 11.2 US gal $1.037 31.57 US big wheeldams that curve around the wheelwells on the inside in place, side undertray removed
car feels very good on the highway, although maybe a bit light at the front...

freezing cold, day and night temps don't go above freezing, it's been about -1 to -9 celcius all the time, so FE and aero are on the backburner... i'm glad the car will start in the morning. it's disapointing this last fillup of 2008 is the worsed ever, but on the other hand fuel prices have gone down... that's no excuse for bad FE but it does make it less of a real problem. anyway.. lets hope FE will go up again in '09
2008-12-09 513.2 mi. 15.73 US gal $1.088 32.63 US very cold winter weather, had to idle for 15 minutes a couple of times just to be able to defrost the windows. did some wheeldam experiments which i think didn't went well, new configuration on from this tank on so we'll see if that's an improvement
2008-11-13 466.6 mi. 13.46 US gal $1.185 34.67 US not to happy with the result quite some experimenting and bad weather over this tank. i've taken off the rear strakes and revised the wheeldams although i'm not sure if they're ideal yet. after this fillup i've put the rear wiper back on, as the weather calls for it
2008-10-14 420.7 mi. 11.84 US gal $1.32 35.53 US colder weather experimented with sideways extended undertray and various wheeldam and grillblock versions not to happy with the results so far but cold weather and a lot of short trips might have a part in this.
2008-09-23 216.8 mi. 6.028 US gal 35.97 US wheeldams
grillblock and tailstrakes near end of thins tank
2008-09-15 319.4 mi. 8.113 US gal $1.448 39.37 US some grillblock setup experiments; installed lower wheeldams along with the original's to form a big dam near the end of this tank, also ran a few lites of diesel contaminated fuel , but since i don't know how much, and it seemed to have canceled itself out it's not included here... i don't recomend it however
2008-08-28 318.1 mi. 8.6 US gal 36.99 US normal driveing... working on active top grillblock
2008-08-10 133.5 mi. 3.133 US gal 42.61 US fillup upon return
2008-08-10 105.6 mi. 3.093 US gal 34.14 US driveing around the hills in luxembourg
2008-08-07 533.7 mi. 14.29 US gal 37.35 US got 20L on belgian soil to make it to luxemburg. full fillup there, mostely highway
2008-07-14 501.4 mi. 12.97 US gal 38.66 US undertray, some highway with full roofracks
2008-06-30 203.2 mi. 5.183 US gal 39.21 US undetray
2008-06-25 466.6 mi. 12.17 US gal 38.34 US aluminum undertray in place for more than half this tank about 15L in stock config + 30L with full undertray minus wheeldams. i hope my next tank will bring me around 40mpg
planning to redo the wheeldams, but a little lower bit brake cooling ducts above them, like i've seen on some VW's next on the todo list is an active grillblock for the top grill
2008-06-09 435.5 mi. 11.63 US gal 37.45 US first tank with the partial undertray, not the great improvement i'd hoped for, but not the worst tank either, and considdering the previous thank might have had a fill error this seems ok. still some revisions in the design might be needed
2008-05-22 341.1 mi. 8.516 US gal 40.05 US fast acceleration in 2nd, and than straight to 5th small wheeldams still in place
2008-05-13 239.8 mi. 6.4 US gal 37.47 US filled up with 98
installed wheel dams just before refil
some eoc
2008-05-05 274 mi. 7.412 US gal 36.97 US 1st 1/2 tank... filled op with about 60L of 95ron the 1st time and now refilled with 28L of 98 so that should give me something like 96... see if that makes any difference... car needs 95 so maybe not... but we'll see.
