Fill date Distance Fill amount Price MPG Details
2009-08-28 506.6 mi. 17.81 US gal $2.699 28.44 US Same driving as usual, more local driving with cold starts, though.
2009-08-22 404.3 mi. 13.84 US gal $2.499 29.21 US No grille block at all this tank.. can't help but notice that mileage wasn't affected... seems like something is going to go wrong shortly - too high of mileage for more than one tank without any major changes.
2009-08-13 543.9 mi. 18.5 US gal $2.699 29.4 US Upper grille block since the beginning of this tank, stock 14" tires, normal driving (for me), and one good "Go or Blow" test to the top of the hill and back, at nearly full throttle with 1st gear manually selected.

130,500 at fill up.

Added 1 qt of Mobil1 0W30, Oil hasn't been changed since last indicated in fuel logs.
2009-04-27 518.8 mi. 18.7 US gal $2.139 27.74 US Odometer reading - 127152

More hauling - I have too much crap.

Let dad drive for around 150 miles, so I could drive the truck/trailer and keep him from enduring the hell that came with shifting constantly up and down the hills between here and there.

The gas station guy topped it off, but ran the pump at the lowest auto setting, so this tank is going to be off-average.
2009-04-20 285.5 mi. 9.58 US gal $1.959 29.8 US Just decided to fill up since it was cheaper by $0.15 than where I'm currently based.

Odometer - 126639

Oil is still fine, haven't changed it since the first log entry.

Still hauling loads up to 1500lbs total... making multiple short trips around towns, and long highway stints, nothing over 60 MPH.
2009-04-18 504.6 mi. 17.08 US gal $2.099 29.54 US Filled up up north, at "Woody's Country Store".

I tried filling up more slowly than usual, since I've "heard" that when you pump fuel faster, it agitates more, making more fumes, and you get charged for evaporated fuel... it makes sense, so I spent another 2-4 minutes at the pump.. big deal.

This mileage reading is still hauling up to 800 LB loads, but I have 17's and 225/50HR17 tires... apparently, they're LRR-type, and they're at 50 PSI as of the ride home (had a softy on the highway the whole 180 miles up... 28 lbs in it.)
2009-04-12 501.8 mi. 18.28 US gal $2.079 27.45 US 125849 ODOMETER

Filled before coming back from new home for the week. ******* at the pump "topped it off" after I told him not to. Actual fill was 17.8xx gallons, topped off was 18.277. That's .4 gallons difference, which changes my figure by about .5 MPG. I don't think I'll go back to that station.
2009-04-05 468.8 mi. 17.17 US gal $2.079 27.3 US 125347 ODOMETER

Been hauling light stuff around for awhile now, rims/tires, etc.

Changed plugs and wires: Splitfire Copper core plugs, and lifetime AutoZone wires.

Van starts 100% faster, and idles better as well. Old plugs, the gap had worn to over .100". OEM setting is .050".

Maybe I'll get a fuel boost on this one! Still working towards breaking 30MPG on this van, but with moving, I'm sure the next tanks will be worse than average.
2009-04-01 524.8 mi. 19.02 US gal $1.999 27.59 US 124878 ODOMETER

Mostly rims and tires being hauled, all under 300lbs.

Oil is still clean, still running 0w30 from the day I got Cara on the road. Spark plugs look bad, need changed. Possible reason for misfiring at high load.

APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!

The lady where I get my coffee in the morning informed me that coffee refills of mugs had gone up from $0.84 to $1.50 (to help deal with the economy.)

They had the signage changed and everything, all for this one day. Then they _actually_ gave everyone refills for $0.50. What an April Fool's joke!
2009-03-26 504.5 mi. 18.28 US gal $2.079 27.6 US 124353 ODOMETER

Started hauling things around to people who bought from or sold to me. Mostly things that don't weigh more than 200 lbs total. Made a 50 mile trip with 500 lbs of driveway stone in bags.

Oil is still clean, just starting to darken.
2009-03-19 208.3 mi. 7.801 US gal $1.859 26.7 US Rutter's #64
Odometer: 123849

Same driving procedure, happened to be driving near the cheaper fuel area, so filled up while there.

No aero-mods as yet, bought tool to remove roof rack for either remainder of this tank, or for next tank's measurement.
2009-03-16 496.4 mi. 17.41 US gal $1.779 28.51 US Rutter's #64

123640 on the clock

No further mods

Same driving.
2009-03-11 344 mi. 12.66 US gal $1.799 27.17 US Rutter's #64

123143 on the clock

Same driving, removed 2nd row seat and replaced it w/ 3rd row seat.
2009-03-05 452.8 mi. 17.51 US gal $1.799 25.86 US Rutter's #64
122799 on the clock, second tank since oil change and water pump installation, first one I could take an accurate reading from.

0w30 M1 and SRT-4 filter, no other mods.

Basic driving, coasting on hills, neutral stops and long slows.
