2009-09-04 107.3 mi. 2.699 US gal $2.549 39.76 US Weather has been getting colder. Highs in the 70's and lows at night in the 40's - 50's. So I've had to let it warm up for a couple of seconds before I can take off. I'm guessing that's the main reason it's dropped just a bit.
2009-08-13 112.2 mi. 2.592 US gal $2.689 43.29 US Warm weather this tank in the 70-90's. Also rather humid as well.
2009-08-01 96.7 mi. 2.228 US gal $2.599 43.4 US All in town for this tank. Weather has been warm in the 70-80's.
2009-07-22 114.3 mi. 2.7 US gal $2.499 42.33 US Weather has been rather warm. I also did several longer trips this tank (20-25miles around town), so I think that helped because it really had time to warm up.
2009-06-24 110 mi. 2.73 US gal $2.639 40.29 US Tried a little engine off coasting this tank. Gotta be careful at night because the lights dim really bad after about 15-20secs. But it looks like it paid off because I beat my 40MPG's goal.

Weather this tank was hot in the 80's and 90's which I'm sure also helped.
2009-05-29 95.8 mi. 2.528 US gal $2.649 37.9 US It's been sitting for a while now. Too much rain to take it out a whole lot.
2009-04-17 96.3 mi. 2.548 US gal $2.149 37.79 US The bikes been sitting for a while because of the cold weather. Plus I think I may have topped it off a little higher then normal. But still not bad considering it's all city driving.
2008-12-13 73.5 mi. 1.845 US gal $1.749 39.84 US Would have been higher. But this is my delayed getting the bike ready for winter tank. So after sitting for a couple of weeks with temps dropping to as low as 5F it needed a good 5-7min to warm up before I could take it to the gas station.
2008-10-03 123 mi. 3.084 US gal $3.319 39.88 US Trying to keep the RPM's down to about 3000 this tank. seems to have kept it up around 40 even with the colder weather (lows are around 42degrees).
2008-09-20 106.3 mi. 2.676 US gal $3.74 39.72 US Highest tank to date. I think I finally got the carbs cleaned out so I've been running lower idle RPMs(about 1100) as opposed to when it was having problems(about 1400). Also seems to do better at lower RPMs when cruising at 35mph so I started running a higher gear. Went from about 4500rpm at 35mph down to 3500rpm. Seems to have made a big difference.
2008-09-15 117 mi. 3.118 US gal $3.89 37.52 US Had about 25miles of highway on this tank.
2008-09-01 73 mi. 1.977 US gal $3.77 36.92 US Ran down to ankeny this tank to try to clean the carbs out. about 25 miles of highway doing 70mph with a strong head wind (felt like i was doing 90mph).
2008-07-22 106 mi. 3.025 US gal $4.01 35.04 US Tried some engine off coasting this tank. Didn't seem to help much. We've had a good amount of rain so I haven't been riding it as much. So I've been wondering how much gas I loose having the bike sitting out in the sun (evaporation).
2008-07-05 107.1 mi. 2.999 US gal 35.71 US
2008-06-19 88.3 mi. 2.316 US gal $3.99 38.13 US Best tank I've seen yet. Did some neutral coasting and a little bit of engine off here and there (mostly parking lots).
2008-06-13 104.9 mi. 3.177 US gal $4.07 33.02 US
