Great job! I currently get around 70 mpg on a 2008 Suzuki SV650F with a few tweaks. I got it so I can at least out run V6 Japanese sedans.
Watch tires peessues as fall comes and some lighter weight motor oil might help. I run Rotella 5w40 now.

About 5500 rpm cruise, tucked. Front tire is stock rear replaced by previous owner, mileage unknown. I put 5000 miles on since July on just a cut can(muffler) and released timing in first three gears(aTRE). Tire pressures about five over recommended along with 90 degree 650 cc engine I can up shift early around 2500-3000 rpms. This is 90% highway at about 800-1000 above sea level.
I was at a solid 69 mpg then returned timing in gears 1-3 and Rotella 5w40 synthetic from regular Rotella 15w40.
Most of it is driving style as the OP has found out.
The biggest improvement was adding a Hahn Racecraft turbo to a Saturn Sky as I'm just under 40 mpg!

I don't like large fairings on road bikes, but if you think you can handle it go for it.

There's an original Vetter full fairing on CL around me for $50 right now. Still has the original speakers and 8 track player.

Promised pics
I can't upload them to my album yet, so they're just going to be posted up to here from PB.com:
The blue one is the TwinStar 185, the red one is a Dream 90, parts/offroad bike.
The TwinStar is nearly road ready, in all original condition, with only 1081 miles on it. Garaged since 1988. The head light is out because it was, well, out. I'm going to try to find a NOS or used OEM one that I can put in it, I'd like to keep this bike as stock as I can, for the antique appeal it brings. It's a 1978, with original owner's manual and tool kit that came with it.
I'll get better pics once I get it out of the van, and hopefully, I can get a test ride in before the season is all the way over...

I thought about that right after I posted those pics... I'll start a thread after this weekend, when I can get the bikes out in the open. They're still sitting in Cara, because I don't want them here where I'm living. I'll store them at my Father's house, and I'll rub some saddle oil on the seat and put WD40 on the metal/painted bits every couple weeks to keep the crusties from forming.
Thread coming!
Meanwhile, if the OP prefers, I can delete those pics.
What say ye, Bryan?
