Aerobike project

A friend and colleague e-mailed me a link to a blog yesterday, and I thought I’d share it with you all. I was very impressed with his vision and workmanship.

For those of us working on similar concepts, there is a lot of usefull information in his blog – particularly on canopy construction.
His blog is AeroBike Enclosed Motorcycle

And some youtube footage of testing is at

And

There is more if you search
I think he deserves a lot of recognition for what he has accomplished, even though its not directly related to the “eco” theme, it could point the way for other ecomodder projects. In many ways, he has simply built himself a monotracer with subtle changes, but the quality of his work looks impressive, in my view.

WOW, very cool. Its nice to see so many ambitious people thinking outside the box and applying their skills so effectively.
I needed some inspiration, and I think i just got it.

It looks like he built that in a year and a half, which is amazingly fast for such a big (and well finished) project. I'm very impressed.

cheers,
Michael

I know there is a lot of challenges. I think you're the first to make something like this.

Nice project! Looks a lot like a Peraves Ecomobile to me, wich I had the great joy to ride in the passenger seat almost 20 years ago. PERAVES AG
This have inspired me to share a similar but more eco-oriented vehicle I have been thinking of for years. -I´ll do that in a separate thread.
