Any Eco-Modders Headed to SEMA 08?
I'll be going again this year for work (Just got the confirmation) and I wanted to see if anybody from ecomodder was going/ was thinking about going. We all know it isn't the greenest car event in the world; but it is the biggest.

I'm going this year but the shop I work for had decided not to set up a booth. Sema is cool but its mostly flashy stuff, girls that are paid to be nice to you, and donks, lol.

Absolutely. More Glitz, flash, overrepresentation, Plastic and fake parts/ fake attitudes there than any other place I've been to.
But I love it anyway.
I have family with a huge (more vegas fake/ plastic) house walking distance from the strip so the visit has 2 purposes.
Edit: How did this end up in Meetups?

I stuck it in meetups since it was an event and the forum was lonely,

This is far enough in the future for me to plan for it. And November is good because it's not that hot in Vegas.

vegas weather sema time is typically warm -hot during the day with cool- cold weather at night. only reason i complain is i always rent a convertable in vegas. fyi if i am in vegas it will rain at least 1 day. first year i went i poured saturday night interstate was flooded, people drowned in there homes, it made the national news.
if you are interested in goinging take a look at other peoples pics to see if you are in to it or not, it is actually overwhelming, you are still remembering things that you saw there 6 months later when people send them to you as new. lol
bear in mind you have to be an industry professional to attend, however i see alot of people there who shouldn't be so . . . . .

I'm used to the terrible crowds, I'm going to the San Diego Comi-Con later this month. But, I'm not in the (auto) industry, so I think that settles that. Oh well, you'll have to take lots of pictures for us !!!!

I'll be flying to Vegas on Tuesday night; I will be catching a ride in the Volvo xc90 AWD 28.7 mpg that I drove a while back. And Leaving on Sunday.
If anybody going wants to meet up, PM me and I'll shoot you Phone# + Email.
I will definitely try and keep ecomodder up to date on the adventures both is Fuel saving, and Fuel wasting.
I'm getting Psyched!

So, how does one get in w/o being in the industry anymore? I've always wanted to go.
