Design the newest EM sticker, win an EM shirt!
Hey all -
It's easy to see that we need a new sticker. Something that highlight the kick-butt MPG we get and the site's contribution to it. Darin and I are busy, and though we could cram in some extra design time, the way I see it, this is your site too. What do you want? How would you do it? Help us all out by submitting some JPEGs with designs, and whoever has their stickers picked will win a few stickers (when they're made) and an EcoModder shirt as a thank you for contributing to the community.
Some rules:
- The sticker needs to be able to fit into a standard envelope.
- Keep it two-tone, or at least low on the color scale, since color costs money and we can't afford to lose tooooo much money.
- Feel comfortable letting the design become ours when you win.
But other than that, go wild. Here's the thought for what I'd enter:
- A die cut, white sticker, 3x8
- Something like “I get … MPG” where you insert the post box number stickers in accordance with your wicked good FE. Then the old “ecomodder.com” in smallerness on the bottom.

Here are my ideas.
I modified the 2nd jpg from HyperMiler, so only the unmodified part is of quality ;-)
The first one is what I like : a simple example that people can easily remember.
The second one is something that may make people wondering about what they read.
My 2 Euro-cents,
Denis.

I'm not a big fan of the witty saying type of bumper sticker. I would prefer one that would be very simple; with the white E-clip/green wrench logo and 'ecomodder' in the aforementioned neuropol font. Perhaps add ".com" so they know where to find us. Under that put the 'Wrench smart - drive smarter - save fuel' tag line. Keep It Simple, SVOboy.

what is wit to some is often offensive to others, it has to be done carefully
maybe something to win that Hummer driver over that feels trapped
similar to SVOboy:
I get ___ % better than EPA rating
you can too - no matter what you drive
Ecomodder.com
I also am fond of my signature statement:
Start where you are - Use what you have - Do what you can.
Ecomodder.com
I think it is attributed to Arther Ash - if it matters
BTW - I have never seen the old sticker
how do you get one

Thanks for all the great ideas, guys! Keep em coming...when I get home from vacation I will whip up prototypes, refine some stuff with respect to the logo on some, and stick them on the crx for test purposes.

Wrench smart - drive smarter - save fuel
the believers will want the words
the style police will want it simple (like an apple logo)
I can see both sides (as long as the words are not apt to piss others off)
but I think ecomodder.com has to be on it some where
even if you make a person walk up close to read it
we are not as well know as Apple... yet

I think "Wrench smart - drive smarter - save fuel" is really what ecomodder.com is about. I cannot think of a better slogan. It implicitly promotes keeping your vehicle in good shape (and/or modding it), driving responsively in awareness of the environment you're in with fuel economy in mind, and it has that catchy "save fuel" that is pretty much the buzz lately and what we strive for.
I would keep the actual layout of the window cling as the logo is nice and catchy, and the ecomodder.com needs to be there anyway. I would just ditch the "kick the oil habit" and replace it with "Wrench smart - drive smarter - save fuel"
My 2¢
