for my Suby I just rev match it but as soon as i'm about to drop it into D i close the throttle, but i do this fast enough so the RPMs don't drop too low. it's smooth as butter. However I recently decided not to do this anymore as I noticed increased wear metals in my last ATF analysis.

I have an AT, and also use the shift into neutral while going down a hill to coast or while im coming up to a stop. When I drop it back into drive while going down the road should I worry about potentially damaging the syncros, collar gears, or the clutches? I know its a CVT but im not too familiar with them.

New Clutch: $600

Don't forget to calculate this cost when figuring out the savings.
