I want to buy a Mpguino but am not sure it will work with lean burn, help.

Hi everyone I'm new here and have read plenty of post about leanburn and gauges. I resently bought a honda civic hx and want to start tracking my mpg to find the best mpg. I have read good things about Mpguino. Can someone point me in the right direction?

If you are asking if the MPGuino connects to the OBD2 connector no.

If you are asking if the MPGuino can be installed in an OBD2 vehicle yes.

The MPGuino uses an injector signal and a VSS signal. You would connect to the appropriate wires so it won't connect to the ECU.

The mpguino is an MPG gauge. It connects to the injector signal and your speed sensor. That is all. No other information can be squeezed out of it if you tried other than fuel consumption vs speed.

thanks 96-civic-ex, I had seen that scangauge does that and it makes it easier to know when lean burn should be able to activate. I also read that scanguage reads 00000 when lean burn is activated. Does amyone know what the newest version of mpguino is or the best version?

It is an open source gauge so I won't say a definitive no but most do not.
