Hello -

The Habitat for Humanity folks also sell donated and leftover stuff :

ReStore resale outlets -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l

Habitat’s ReStore resale outlets sell reusable and surplus building materials to the public
While every ReStore outlet is a little different, most focus on home improvement goods like furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances.

I know Im late to the game here, but I really believe that some vehicles are definitely better with the tailgate up. My main car is a 70 El Camino, and during a few back to back 1/4 mile runs i consistently saw 2-3 mph higher with the tailgate UP! I think that the relatively shallow bed depth plays a part as well.
