MPGuino + VVT / CVT

I've given up finding a way to add Nissan's Consult II protocol to get an OBDuino setup working.

My Nissan should have CVT. With OBDII the fuel consumption is easily obtained with PIDs (as determined by ECU so the data is as accurate as the ECU thinks it is).

However, MPGuino uses math to determine fuel consumption by taking the injector pulse width.
How does Variable Timing affect that ?

I don't see how it would affect it.
