With my gas savings, I bought this! (2000 Honda Insight)

I've driven the Black Widow for over two years now, and every month I sat aside the gas savings as a car fund. Yesterday I was able to pay cash for a 2000 Insight, with enough in the fund still to do any repairs it may need

Say hello to the Turtle!

On Turtle's page I listed some of the specs, but so far I've found nothing wrong with it other than a little cricket chirping from the vicinity of the AC clutch, one bad motor mount, and a missing front under-panel.

I'll be modding it of course, maybe not to the degree of Black Widow's mods, but I'll see what I can squeeze out of it.

A 2015 Elio, of course!

Might have to chip in some extra on that one though . . . . .

I think the S2000 seats are a bolt in swap. Maybe the steering wheel as well.

Sweet grab, congrats! Any idea the condition the batteries? Don't those cars do really well even with the hybrid stuff deleted?

I'm not sure, but on the way home yesterday on a 70 mile trip, it topped out on the charge, and I managed to get 61 mpg on the trip. I have to assume this thing has either been driven 200,000 highway miles or the battery has been replaced. It shifts great, the brakes are good, it tracks straight down the road, the autostop works great (I did turn off the AC long enough to find out).

Those seats are awesome, leather(like) with no wear on them at all.

I need to Google that Kenwood system and find a manual for it. The original owners manual was in the glove box.

So far, so good!
