For Sale: Vehicle OBD2 Shield with STN1110

Hello friends,
i have designed for my own project this shield and i have some spares and i thought i should share it with you in case someone is interest.

They are based on STN1110 ic which is full compatible with ELM327 but far more advanced in functionality and support.

Just plug it in your Arduino, load OBDuino project, define ELM327 options and start playing with your vehicle.

I have only a few boards and i will give them for 50EUR each + shipping.

Find more information click here:

How do this compare or differ from shields like this one? RoboSavvy UK Store - SparkFun - CAN-BUS Shield

I don't know enough about the specs of these to know just by looking at them but I have a project that I hope to do that this would be helpful for.

The canbus shield works only on newer vehicles that support canbus.

Take a look at the STN1110 website.

STN1110 - Multiprotocol OBD Interpreter IC Chip - Low-Cost, High-Performance | OBD Solutions

It has optimized algorithm to discover automatically the protocol of OBD2 system..

Support for all legislated OBD II protocols:
ISO 15765-4 (CAN)
ISO 14230-4 (Keyword Protocol 2000)
ISO 9141-2 (Asian, European, Chrysler vehicles)
SAE J1850 VPW (GM vehicles)
SAE J1850 PWM (Ford vehicles)
Support for non-legislated OBD protocols:
ISO 15765
ISO 11898 (raw CAN)
Support for SAE J1939 OBD protocol

You have to worry for less things on your project because, like ELM327, STN1110 does the most things for you.

The OBD2 shield is an easy way to communicate with multiple vehicles.

It is based on STN1110, a much better than ELM327 chip, that handles all the filtering and initialization of the Arduino with the vehicle's on-board computer.

You need to read vehicles speed? Just send to the serial port the OBD ID of speed.
0x01 0x0d
Then you will have a reply with the vehicles speed. Also it supports OBDuino project, just enable the ELM327 define's on the top.

Here is a reference with OBD2 pids

If you have further questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
